Ornamenta is a regional exhibition for contemporary art and design, held every five years in Pforzheim, the neighbouring municipalities of Enzkreis and Calw, and various Black Forest communities. Discover the region through focussed routes that connect multi-site exhibitions, public installations, performances and events.
First held in 1989, Ornamenta will return this summer as a European platform for contemporary art and design. From 5 July to 29 September 2024, Ornamenta presents new works by emerging artists and designers from across Europe at more than twenty locations in the region, presenting a new perspective on the Northern Black Forest and its portal town Pforzheim. Visitors are invited to explore Ornamenta through new exhibition routes that uncover the beauty of the region, showcasing new collaborations between artists, designers, regional businesses, community organisations and local cultural institutions.
